Now THIS Is A Movie I'd Pay To See

April 6, 2011

I know I’m usually the last one to see “viral sensations,” so this one has probably been making the rounds for awhile. Still, I couldn’t help posting it. I wasn’t able to figure out how to embed it (the people at Funny Or Die Videos make it more difficult than most), but here’s the link. Just click on it and enjoy. If you’re a movie fan, in general, and a fan of the movie “When Harry Met Sally,” in particular, you’ll really get a kick out it.

Oh…my…god!! I was not sure WHAT to make of it at first…loved the idea of Billy & Helen together, in the senior center (been there VERY recently, as you know)…but the “vamping?” Surprise!…HILARIOUS!! Yes, please…when can I get a ticket?!? Now, let’s keep the blood content down a liter…don’t make it TOO messy…but with all the ridiculous vampire-obsession wit da yutes today…in many wacky ways…it fits!! Not exactly sure what Mike Tyson is gonna do…but it’s RICH with possibilities…after all, he’s a “biter” from way back… and now that he’s established his comedy creds in “The Hangover”, and that HILARIOUS send-up of “The King’s Speech” — that’ll work too! And Jane…if their writers run dry, dahling, perhops you could approach them vith sum of yore humorr…fresh blood…?!
Now, The Zombies…um…don’t think it’s “Time Of The Season” yet…but let’s see what THIS brings 1st!!

Wasn’t it hilarious, Dave? I had to watch it a few times because I thought it was a riot. I always love seeing Helen Mirren do comedy, plus I love the way they used well-known parts of the real movie and put a new spin on them. A great spoof.

That’s hilarious! I would certaily prefer this movie to more Not Another Teen Twilight Angsty High School Witch Musical drivel.

    My sentiments exactly, Kristen!

The pharmacist in me busted out laughing with the “Coumadin!” shout. Loved it! Kinda like the Buzz Lightyear quote from Toy Story, after being kidnapped by Sid, “I don’t believe that man’s ever been to medical school.” You can tell I’m from a health care family.

That was my favorite line too, Jane. I absolutely cracked up when she said that. LOL. Believe it or not, I haven’t seen any of the Toy Story movies, but one of these days I’m going to watch them all. They’re on my list of Must Do’s.

That is THE funniest thing I have seen in YEARS! First, I loved “When Harry Met Sally” so I get all the little references to the original movie. Loved the coumadin reference – HILARIOUS! But I must say — that awful wig on Billy Crystal made him look a lot like Christopher Walken. Now that is scary! And bris scene… OMG. That was hilarious.

I think Billy and Helen should do a Rom-Com together. They seem to have great timing and chemistry. I love both of them anyway…

Speaking of references to the original movie, Jen, how about Rob Reiner’s mother at the end with the “I’ll have what she’s having” line? So, so funny. And you’re right – Billy does have sort of a Christopher Walken look with that wig. I’d love to see Helen and Billy do an actual rom com together. But, as we know all too well, Hollywood doesn’t make romances for “older” actors very often and when they do the actor is old but the actress is practically a teenager!
