Road Trip Speed Bumps

June 12th, 2013 by Jane Heller

No photo with this post. I’m writing it on my phone while my computer is busy doing a download.

If I were going use an image or two, I would probably use pics of both Hughes and Joba, our two free agents who just keep breaking my heart. Hughes said after the game, “I had nothing.” Just what I wanted to hear. Joba? What can he say except he was awful.

Of course, if this team could score some runs, the pitchers might not be so discombobulated. (I love typing that word.) This is not a good stretch for the now hapless Yanks. Not good at all.

I woke up very early this morning and saw the re-run of the last two innings. Ugh! Yes, the bats are not working at all so even if Joba would have done a good job the game still would have ended in a loss, but come on! Joba has no control whatsoever and once a player gets to a base he can pretty much go where and when he wants. Not pleased in any way. Today is an early game…let’s hope it makes a difference. GO YANKEES!!!

Joba. Sigh. Didn’t you just see that coming, Diane? He looks ok at first, but leave him in a game? Scary.

I’m kind of glad I can’t watch these games and the scores are settled long after I’m asleep.

Today they went down 3-2 in 18 innings. It’s only mid-June so the bats could come alive anytime and start a long win streak.
