Love These Pics

March 30th, 2013 by Jane Heller

Thanks to Sweeny Murti at WFAN for tweeting these before today’s exhibition game at West Point.

Here’s Andy with the cadets….

And Youkilis and Joba with the cadets – sitting at the same table! They must not hate each other after all. Now if only Joba would ditch the mustache….

Ok ..I moved my post to this site because right after I posted you put up a new post of your own…LOL. I’m watching the game as I type….I love when the Yankees take the time out play these games …so cool.
Not too cool that it’s 5-4 Yankees …they should be doing better …at least I think so … :o)….GO YANKEES!!

Hi Jane & Fellow Baseball Fans….

Well…it’s finally here !!!! Yankee Baseball and quite a different Yankee Baseball it will be this year. I read that we will have just 2 players from last year in the starting lineup on Opening Day…Robbie & Gardner. That’s pretty weird. I just hope all the injured come back as soon as possible and with a vengence. Most people aren’t giving the Yankees a prayer but I’m always optimistic …it’s a long season and once the regulars come back with any other pickups along the way leads me to believe the Yankees have just as good a chance as any team especially with the starting pitching & bullpen. That’s the big key ..the starting pitching and bullpen staying healthy. I know they are old but then they were old last year too and wound up with the best record in the AL. It doesn’t look good on paper but I’ll wait to see what happens on the field. I might be wearing rose-colored sunglasses but I love wearing sunglasses and I love My Yanks …no matter what the outcome of the season. I’m just hoping for some terrific games from the team and a fight to the finish.

I will be at Opening Day along with my daughter and son-in-law. I’m so happy to once again visit my home away from home …Yankee Stadium. It’s suppose to be in the 50′s which is great too …much better than the games I sat while it was snowing. Here‘s to CC winning the first game of the season. I have faith in the Big Boy. I just want the Yankees to make the Sox look like fools on April Fool’s Day. Heck…I want them to make the Sox look like fools EVERY game they play against them ..haha.

Here’s to an interesting but great season for our boys. Happy Baseball Season everyone …GOOOOOOOOO
    YANKEES !!!

    Go Yankees 2013!!!

I knew you’d be there on Opening Day, Peggy, cheering the boys on. And what fun that you’re going with your daughter and new son-in-law. I feel as if I know them from watching their wedding on video. Yes, here’s to a great – and interesting – season.

Can you believe they celebrated their year anniversary on the 23rd. I have no idea where that time went but I wish I had some of it back. I just hope the season doesn’t fly by in a blink of an eye and hopefully it has a very happy ending like my daughter’s wedding …. :).

    Go Yankees 2013 !!!

  4. Jane Heller says:

The time is just flying by, Peggy. I can’t believe it’s April 1st on Monday. Is time really moving faster or do we say this every year? Lol

  5. YankeeCase says:

Joba looks like such a weirdo here, lol! He looks less like a professional pitcher in his prime and more like a balding, overweight, 45 year old math teacher who resents his students’ youth!

…………………no offense to any math teachers here! !O_o!

And Andy looks like a soccer dad here. Those cadets must be just about his kids’ ages, or very close. Time really does fly by, doesn’t it? Soon we’ll be talking about about how fast the season had gone by, asking ourselves all about the questions we had about the Yankees just before Opening Day.

  6. Jane Heller says:

Joba does look a little weird, YankeeCase. I didn’t think of the math teacher image – I was going with an aging porn star (LOL) – but now that you mention it, I can see it! And yeah, Andy looks like a dad there – a natural with those kids. So….any predictions about how the season will end up at the end of September?

  7. YankeeCase says:

I think I’m done making predictions, Jane! I think I keep messing up teams’ chances with my disruptive Karma, lol. I am optimistic though, I’ll say that.

  8. Jane Heller says:

Optimistic is good, YankeeCase. I would say I’m taking it day by day, not expecting much but very happy to be pleasantly surprised.
