So Who's Going To Tomorrow's Game? Last Call.

August 24, 2011

Audrey is going, right? And YankeeCase? Leo too? And maybe Melissa? If so, we need a meet-up place prior to the first pitch.

Alternatively, I’ll be in Section 104, row 17, in case anybody wants to just stop by and say hello.

The forecast is not good, and I am not amused!

I am sorry to say I won’t be able to make it after all. Work stuff, health (my knee is sort of cranky right now – not enough for the DL, I’m day-to-day!) and the threat of rain make it not a good time to go. I was so looking forward to it!!!!
    Next year!

Sorry I won’t see you, Melissa. Sorry about your knee too. The threat of rain doesn’t thrill me, so I’m asking the baseball gods to at least let me see a rain-less game and if they want it to rain let it be after I’m in the car going home!

I wish you could join us, Barbara. I’ve met your dad so it’s only fair that I get to meet you too. Someday soon, I hope.

Jane, I am sorry but slight monetary issues have prevented me from going to the game tomorrow. But my friend who works at the Stadium offered me tickets for next week which was very nice of him. Maybe we can catch up then? If not, then I sincerely hope we will meet up at another game soon, whether it’s this season or next. Same goes for the rest of our blog buddies. Enjoy the game and rub off some good luck for our guys. Hoping that the rain doesn’t spoil your fun.

Too bad about tomorrow, Leo, but I’m glad you’ll be able to go to the Stadium courtesy of your friend!

    Hi Jane and all,
Sorry I’m so late weighing in – it’s been a busy day. Donna and I will be at the game. We are taking a train from New Hamburg that is scheduled to arrive at Yankee Stadium @ 11:44. We are sitting in section 203. We hope to got to Monument Park as soon as we get there so we can get in a visit before it closes. We are happy to meet wherever works. I will email you my cell number so we can be in touch.

As for the rain – I would really appreciate if it would hold off until after Donna and I are securely home. I really don’t like driving in the dark in the rain.

    Oh, God… Tonight’s game was sooo…. Grrrrr!!

Melissa and Leo, you won’t be going?? And Barbara, no? Arg! Another time then? Melissa, hope your knee gets better. Avoid that DL, it’s a must!! Leo, I’m probably going again next week too. Which game are you going to?

Looking forward to seeing Jane and Audrey and Donna. Wherever you decide to meet up is fine with me. Guess I’ll email you Jane. I’ll be in section 212 myself.

Hopefully the rain holds up. And hopefully the Yankees decide to come and play before the eighth inning tomorrow…

Got your email, YankeeCase, and hope to see you later!

YankeeCase, if all goes well, it’ll be next Saturdays game against the Jays on September 3rd. If any of you guys can go that day as well, it would be great. Frustrating game last night but I hope you guys can bring them some good luck. I’ll comment a bit more on the game in the following entry.
