For Anyone Who Needs A Laugh

July 26, 2011

And who doesn’t right?

My California writer buddy, Jenna McCarthy (check out her web site over to the right), just produced a video trailer to promote her forthcoming book, If It Was Easy They’d Call The Whole Damn Thing A Honeymoon. Berkley will publish in the fall.

Meanwhile, watch and laugh. The trailer is irresistible, especially if you’re married but even if you’re not.

Mine is just a little different, Peg, because I’m the one who controls the remote!

That was HI-larious!! Funniest thing you’ve posted on here since the Billy Crystal – Helen Mirren “vampire” trailer!! Thanx!!!
Is that Jenna herself doing the acting? If so…WOW, am I impressed…but it hardly matters. Should be a VERY funny book…!
My Better Half can relate to ALL that stuff, esp. the Remote Wars, except maybe the taking-a-leak-while-she’s-in-the-tub-or-shower bit. Not that I haven’t, however, of that I’m sure…!

Yup, Dave. That’s Jenna and her husband. The trailer was shot at their house.

Jane – that’s a hoot because I too control the remote. (but he’s the one who snores!)
Are you sure we aren’t sisters from different mothers or something of that sort?
My dad was born in “da” Bronx you know – moved around NY before going to NW PA….hmmmm.
We are close in age….the plot thickens….

Oh, Peg. Now I know we’re sisters. You control the remote and he snores. Check. Your father was from the Bronx. My mother was from the Bronx. Check. This is cool!

My husband watched this last night and said the following…..
Boy Jenna is cute. Huh,a rack just like you. Only I’d bet she’s younger (Why I oughta…..)
This is our life only you control the remote. Boy that Jenna is sure cute.
He’s not really peeing you know…..Hmm….Jenna has a mouth like you babe I hear from the outtakes – I love you ball bustin’ babes. She sure is cute. When we going to Santa Barbara?

I took the laptop away from him.

Okay, Peg. We can’t be sisters. You have a rack and I don’t! As for your husband’s comments, they made me laugh. I’ll be sure to tell Jenna she’s has a new fan.
